A Blend of Functionality and Style: The Transformation of Duques Hall Common Area
The common area in Duques Hall has been meticulously designed to serve as a multifunctional hub for students. This space is not just a place to study or meet between classes; it's an arena where events can unfold, creating a dynamic environment that fosters engagement and learning. The design philosophy was centered around creating a functional yet stylish space. Instead of opting for a purely lounge-like ambiance, the focus was placed on incorporating more upright chairs to maximize usability. This transformation was carried out within a span of less than six months, showcasing a blend of efficiency and aesthetic appeal. The project involved collaboration with reputed manufacturers such as Arcadia, Bernhardt Design, ERG International, Keilhauer, OFS, and VIA Seating. Architect: SmithGroup.
